The European Sickness Insurance Card can be used during a trip abroad (in a Member State of the European Union) and covers urgent medical incidents in the country’s state health system.

Beneficiaries are those who are holders of a Healthcare ID and who hold a Health Care Incident due to incapacity for work, issued by the Social Insurance Services.

Application forms are available from the Ministry of Health, Citizens Service Centers, Nicosia, Limassol, Larnaca and Paphos District Offices, as well as from the Ministry of Health and the Department of Postal Services.
